An estimator reads these numbers for an hour at a time.

What is built in

• Text clears 4.5:1 contrast on its background in both themes, and 3:1 above 24px. The lightest grey in the system sits at 5.3:1 and nothing fainter is permitted.
• 12px is the smallest type anywhere, including chart footnotes and table captions.
• Touch targets are 44px minimum; table rows are 52px.
• Every focusable control shows a 2px focus ring, visible on every background in the system.
• Colour is never the only signal. A negative margin shows a minus sign and a verdict badge, not red text alone.
• Charts are one series per axis and never dual-axis, so a crossing point cannot be read where none exists.
• Light and dark are full peer themes, defaulting to your device rather than to our preference.

Where we are against WCAG

Archer targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The colour, contrast, target-size and focus rules above are built into the design system rather than applied page by page, so they hold as new screens are added.

It has not been audited by a third party, and it has not been tested end to end with a screen reader. Dense financial tables are exactly where that testing matters most, so treat those two gaps as real rather than nominal. update when an audit is complete
